How to Celebrate Chinese New Year in Downtown Los Angeles

By Diana Rochford January 24, 2020

Happy Lunar New Year. It's the year of the Rat, the first of all the zodiac animals that symbolizes intelligence and success and a quiet and peaceful life. Sounds wonderful to me!

Celebrate with Chinatown's spectacular Dragon Parade, the oldest ongoing Chinese celebration in the United States. It is full of color and sounds, a beautiful celebration of Chinese culture in the US.

Los Angeles libraries are hosting fun craft classes and storytimes and we collected the ones happening around the downtown area.
