This might not be the busiest weekend of the year, but boy does the leap year weekend have some great events happening.
Even though we are moving this weekend, we are still going to squeeze in the Bob Baker Day on Saturday. We caught it 2 years ago and it was such a magical day. It involves all things that make children happy - puppet shows, live music for children, games and lots of kids' food. My kid was in puppet heaven when we went.
For those Lego obsessed, also my kid, The Art of the Brick opens at the California Science Center on Friday. They claim there will be over 1 million lego bricks (for most parents that probably sounds a little painful. ). Memories of painfully walking on legos in the middle of the night aside, this show promises to be spectacular! There will be over 100 lego sculture to admire and 9 lego stations and challenges for kids to engage in. I have a feeling we will have to go more than once! My kid has been pointing at the posts in eager anticipation since they went up!
The central library will host day celebrating Dr Seuss, a great way to encourage your child's reading habits. Oh the books they will ready!
Have oh so much fun!
